The border area between Thailand and Cambodia was of interest to ACTwatch because this was the area from which global antimalarial drug resistance originated during the previous 30 years and where the first data on ACT resistance emerged. In 2016, Thailand implemented the first outlet survey using ACTwatch study methodology. The results from this survey contributed important data to resistance monitoring efforts in the country.

Results from the 2016 outlet survey are available at the Results & publications page.
