Quick Access

United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is the official public standards-setting authority for all prescription and over-the-counter medicines, dietary supplements, and other healthcare products manufactured and sold in the United States and more than 130 other countries.

USP sets standards for the quality of these products and works with healthcare providers to help them reach the required standards.

The USP will be involved in verifying the quality of ACT malaria medicines in this project.

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is an international centre of excellence in public health and tropical medicine, one of Europe’s leading postgraduate medical institutions and Britain's national school of public health. Both European and Third World concerns are underlined by the School's expertise in preventive medicine, epidemiology and disease control.

The Health Economics and Financing Programme (HEFP) will be leading LSHTM’s contribution to ACTwatch. HEFP aims to help countries develop and adopt cost-effective, equitable and appropriate health systems through research, dissemination of findings, and support to capacity development. Programme members are internationally recognised as leaders in the field of applied health economics research and health sector reform.  HEFP works closely with collaborators overseas as well as those in the UK.

LSHTM will be leading the supply chain analysis component of ACTwatch.
